ISE X-TRAS

ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT

ISE is a partner with Tallahassee Parks and Recreation and offers football, soccer, and baseball for those students ages 5-13. Through membership with the Florida High School Athletic Association, ISE offers basketball and track for its middle school students.  We believe that physical education is more than just a glorified recess – students learn coordination and competitive skills. Children also develop self-discipline, self-awareness, and the ability to work as a member of a team.

  • Football: ISE participates in flag football and regular contact football for students ages 5-13! Parent authorization and registration fees are required.
  • Basketball: Our dynamic basketball team is comprised of students of various ages in grades K5-8th. Parent authorization and registration fees are required.
  • Track and Field: Last year ISE had two middle school students to make it to the State Track and Field Event! Go Eagles! Generally, track is available for boys and girls in middle school.
  • Softball/Baseball: Softball is a great sport that requires dedication and hard self-motivation. This sport is available for various ages as parent authorization is required.
  • Cheerleading: Our cheerleading squads are made up of energetic, fun-loving young ladies, K5-8th, who are amped to encourage our teams. The cheerleading squads have a special assignment in which they participate in various sport events and must have a flexible schedule to attend as some events may be unscheduled.

Fun

Arts Department:

ISE utilizes the arts to reach and teach the next generation. We currently offer vocal music education, dance, creative expressions, art and the Spoken Word. Students learn the basics of music theory and are afforded the opportunity to sing, perform and enjoy music. Students achieve educational gains through a rhythmic, artistic approach to teaching that causes them to excel.

Technology:

Computers are used as learning tools. Students are provided with easy access to desktop computers that possess the latest, up-to-date educational software that will assist them in progressing academically. Special software are used and integrated into the learning curriculum. Students also learn responsible use of the internet.

Transportation:

Although parents are responsible for providing transportation to and from school, ISE provides transportation from selected public schools to ISE’s Young Hope Afterschool program. Transportation is also provided to and from field trips.
