Early Learning Coalition:

This program is a federally funded program that is available to assist low to middle income families with childcare fees. This program caters to all ages including part time assistance for afterschool care for children age 5 and up. In order to qualify, a parent must be employed or receive cash assistance. Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK):

VPK is designed to prepare 4-year old students for Kindergarten as it also pays for 3-instructional hours per day during the regular school term. Parents may opt to enroll their child into the summer VPK where all day services are rendered at virtually no cost. It’s normally free of charge from 6:45am to 3:30pm, while services can be rendered up until 6:00pm at a small fee. Please call for that rate as each summer the rate may change.

The only requirement to sign up is verifying documentation of current address (driver’s license or utility bill) and the child’s birth certificate. The student must turn 4 on or before September 1st.  Contact information for this program is as follows:

Carolyn V. Brown Tuition Assistance Program:

This program is an in-house program and is available for children of all ages. It is for those families who are in financial need and can not qualify for any other financial assistance from outside sources. This program is based on funding availability only.

CAROLYN V. BROWN TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM APPLICATION

McKay Scholarship:

McKay is available for students in Kindergarten – 12th grade who are ESE and is coming from public school. In order to qualify, the student must have an active Individual Education Plan (IEP) on file with the public school and has completed at least one full year in public school. Scholarships are based solely on the need of the student. Contact information is as follows:

Step Up For Students Scholarship (Formerly Children First Scholarship):

This scholarship awards $4,106 and is designed for students in Kindergarten – 12th grade. Parents must meet income qualifications. If the student is entering kindergarten or 1st grade, the only requirement to meet is the income requirement. If the student is in 2nd grade and up, the student must have completed at least 3 of the 4 nine week periods in public school.
